RectorSeal® No. 5® pipe thread sealant is a soft-set, slow drying compound designed to seal, lubricate, and protect threaded pipe and fittings. It is suitable for immediate pressurization on pipes up to 2"" and 100 psi (for natural gas, air, and water only), making it ideal for various fluid and gas applications, including potable water systems. It is recommended for use on threaded galvanized steel, iron, brass, copper, aluminum, stainless steel, polyethylene, fiberglass-reinforced, and PVC pipes. However, it is not suitable for ABS or CPVC pipes, or for use with oxygen, chlorine, and other oxidizers.
